Offspring receive antibodies from the mother that neutralize everyday viruses & bacteria including those in DA2PP, FVRCP & 'rabies', providing innate protection from whatever the mother was exposed to, rendering later exposure non-infectious in most animals, further enhancing and stimulating lifelong immunity.

Would this mean that antibody protection & development against core & non-core diseases is already in place, rendering vaccines unnecessary, harmful or unethical?

Are vaccines compromising innate immunity and causing animals to get sick but the blame is being put on "faulty immunity"?

🌿 Veterinary literature likes to blame early vaccine failure on the "interference of maternal antibodies". This is where they want our focus. It's the other way around.

🌿 Immunity = maternal antibodies + natural exposure + immune response + recovery + immune memory.

🌿 "When a young animal is vaccinated while nursing and actively absorbing high levels of the mother's antibodies, those antibodies recognize the vaccine as foreign and will neutralize it before the immune system itself has learned. Known as 'maternal antibody interference', this is the primary reason why early vaccines fail and why veterinarians give multiple repeated shots...to keep "trying" until maternal antibodies have faded enough to stop blocking the vaccine."

🌿 "Maternal antibodies enable offspring's subsequent exposure to everyday pathogens to stimulate immunity without causing symptoms, rendering vaccines unnecessary for the majority of animals."

🌿 The antibodies neutralize viruses & bacteria providing natural protection from whatever the mother was exposed to, rendering later exposure non-infectious & further enhancing immunity.

🌿 "The statistical risk of active disease in healthy, unvaccinated pets with maternal immunity and natural environmental exposure is negligible, with most infections remaining asymptomatic resulting in lifelong natural immunity. Data indicates that while these viruses (DH2PP, FVRCP, Rabies, etc.) exist in the environment, the vast majority of exposure stimulates immunity without ever causing symptoms."

..."Fear of 'deadly' diseases has just programmed into people through many years. Fear works." If we observe where most the outbreaks are, they are often in shelters, where animals have been multi-vaccinated.

🌿 "The vast majority of encounters with pathogens result in the development of protective antibodies rather than illness, highlighting the immune system's innate capacity to handle viral challenges safely and effectively."

Mother, Nursing & Natural Immunity

"Maternal antibodies through colostrum, nursing & subsequent environmental exposure lay the foundation for lifelong, systemic immunity, representing the most powerful and biologically ancient system. A sophisticated defense network protecting offspring from the moment they are born without the interference of vaccination."

  • The antibodies the mother received through daily exposure through her life pass to her offspring who now carry the same antibodies, in place without the interference of vaccination. When they are later exposed, offspring are usually asymptomatic.

  • These antibodies neutralize disease by blocking viral entry & preventing fusion with host cells, rendering viruses non-infectious.

  • Later minor exposure acts as a natural "booster" effect further enhancing immunity without causing symptoms. This asymptomatic exposure keeps herd immunity high, preventing severe outbreaks.

  • Organic, robust protection through IgA, IgG & IgM from the mother, against core & non-core diseases.

  • Titers are a measure of these antibodies. Many get titers after giving their pets vaccines. Was protection already there?

  • Without the first milk, offspring can still rely on remarkable natural resilience with antibody placental transfer, environmental exposure & any later natural infection. The first 24-48 hour colostrum is just powerful.

  • Colostrum also contains essential growth factors & prebiotics that establish a healthy microbiome & seal the gut lining, preventing leaky gut, related allergies and autoimmunity. Bioactive compounds like lactoferrin and cytokines colonize the digestive tract, helping "train" the digestive immune system to balance, regulate and develop T-cells. This foundation is essential for long-term immune regulation and digestion. In this way, the first 24 hour milk is key.

  • Introducing vaccines into a newborn during the critical immune development period interrupts the process of innate immunity. It puts stress on the system & can trigger dysfunction, cause long-term immunosuppression, body and mind dysregulation. Breeders & veterinarians start right at this time: 6-8 weeks or earlier (when antibody production is highest), injecting every 2-4 weeks until 16 weeks, and again at 12-16 months.

  • Nursing & early social development are a vital part of growth & well-being. Being taken away too early can compromise physical & emotional well-being. For puppies in particular, 0-3 months is a critical time for healthy socialization and immunity. Allowing them 'out in the world' around healthy animals, away from places like dogs parks during this important time, can protect, enrich & enhance immunity without the need for vaccination.

    • 0-4 weeks: Protected almost exclusively by maternal antibodies.

    • 4-6 weeks: Begin to produce own antibodies; maternal antibody influence still present.

    • 6-8 weeks: Maternal antibodies begin to drop and a powerful immune shield is developing, mirroring the mother's immune system.

      • Around 8 weeks is generally when nursing stops though maternal antibodies are still in the system protecting offspring even without nursing.

      • If separated at 8 weeks, puppies & kittens face increased stress & exposure to new environments, as they are still strengthening & developing.

      • 8 weeks is the legal minimum age for adoption, but waiting until 12-14 weeks offers immense behavioral benefits.

      • Still reliant on mother and littermates for social development.

      • Some breeders prefer early adoption because of the costs associated with feeding after nursing stops.

    • 8-12 weeks: Maternal antibodies drop further & offspring immune system begins functioning on its own.

      • While nursing stops around 8 weeks, 8-12 weeks is a critical developmental phase of refining complex social skills that are difficult to replicate in a human home.

      • Fully benefitting from maternal & sibling interaction.

      • Pass through initial fear period securely.

      • Develop bladder control & sleep habits.

      • Still young enough to readily bond with new human family and absorb new experiences.

    • 12-16 weeks: Maternal/milk antibodies low or undetectable. Offspring's immune system is considered mature.

      • 14 weeks is increasingly considered the ideal time for a puppy or kitten to move to a new home, balancing advanced social development with the peak window for human bonding, often resulting in a competent, well-adjusted companion.

      • The 16-week mark represents the biological milestone where maternal antibodies fully wane, allowing the offspring's innate immune system to assume full responsibility and begin refining its natural defenses through direct environmental interaction.

Enhanced Immunity through Daily Exposure

I am not a veterinarian. It is my opinion that animals have innately-given immunity, a birthright, further enhanced with nursing and subsequent natural exposure, rendering later exposure non-infectious in healthy offspring, that protecting them during the more susceptible 0-3 month period by allowing them to be around healthy animals & environments is beneficial, that natural infection results in even more robust immunity and vaccines interrupt divinely-given perfection. The information below was taken from in-depth study through online resources.

  • And if symptoms do develop:

    • Cats:

      • FVRC: Symptoms are usually non-existent or possible mild sneezing or watery eyes that resolve in 7-10 days.

      • P: Easily mistaken for minor stomach upset that usually resolves in 24-48 hours.

      • Rabies:

        • Innate antibodies neutralize rabies by blocking viral entry & preventing fusion with host cells, rendering the virus non-infectious with the IgG antibody that passed through the placenta & milk.

        • Governing bodies claim cats primarily get rabies through wildlife but the percentage of rabid wildlife is statistically negligible. Less than 1 in a billion wildlife is rabid.

        • Fear of less than 1 in a billion wildlife biting a cat who will bite a human is used to get pet owners to inject their animal with rabies. And the contagious period for wildlife is only the 2 weeks before they die. In that way, rabies does not spread.

        • Still mandated, though a mandate isn't a law. Any pet guardian can decline rabies without legal repercussion, as it is not enforced. If it's the only 'mandated' vaccines, why are the others still given?

  • Dogs

Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Canine Influenza & Corona are "viral" sources of upper respiratory symptoms. Bordatella is a bacterial source, usually a cough. Upper respiratory tract symptoms given different labels. Like people, animals get upper respiratory symptoms or GI upset that usually resolve on their own.

    • DA2PP

      • Distemper:

        • Extremely rare due to widespread immunity. If signs appear, it can look like respiratory, or reduced appetite until fully recovered.

      • Adenovirus (1 & 2)

        • Adenovirus 1: Hepatitis, "largely eliminated from the US".

        • Adenovirus 2: Respiratory, mild upper respiratory symptoms that most recover from in 3-10 days.

      • Parvo

        • Colostrum antibodies neutralize parvovirus instantly upon exposure, preventing infection until the puppy's own immune system takes over. If later exposed, they are usually asymptomatic.

        • Rare in unvaccinated puppies & healthy adults. Studies have shown vaccinated puppies to be more likely to get parvo.

      • Parainfluenza

        • Cough, possible runny nose, sneezing or mild fever. Most dogs recover on own in 1-2 weeks.

      • Rabies

        • The US has been free of rabies in dogs since 2007.

        • Innate antibodies neutralize rabies by blocking viral entry & preventing fusion with host cells, rendering the virus non-infectious with the IgG antibody that passed through the placenta & milk.

        • Still mandated, though a mandate isn't a law. A pet guardian can decline rabies without legal repercussion, as it is not enforced. If it's the only 'mandated' vaccines, why are the others still given?

    • Bordatella, Corona, Influenza, Lepto, Lyme

      • Bordatella

        • Symptoms usually resolve on their own in 7-10 days.

        • "Kennel cough" is a cough labeled kennel cough, also called Bordatella. Bordatella is a bacteria that can cause a cough.

        • I had a kennel-free dog boarding business where dogs still got kennel-cough, though vaccinated, and got through it like a cold. It usually sounds worse than it is. Given they were likely already immune from their mother, would they have been better off without the vaccine?

        • Bordetella and parainfluenza are not the same, but they are frequently combined into a single bivalent injection.

          • "Years of experience in homeopathic preventative medicine (aka “homeoprophylaxis”) has taught me that Kennel Cough, a somewhat complicated infectious disease of dogs, is highly preventable by means of a homeopathic Nosode."

    • Corona

      • Most are asymptomatic. With symptoms, it generally looks like brief diarrhea or upper respiratory symptoms (runny nose, eyes, sneeze) that resolve on their own.

    • Influenza (H3N2, H3N8)

      • H3N2: Not circulating since 2022

      • H3N8: Not circulating since 2016

    • Leptospirosis

      • Primarily spread through rat urine in warm, wet climates.

      • Most are asymptomatic.

      • Mild symptoms usually resolve in 24-72 hours.

    • Lyme

      • Dogs receive natural immunity from mother. The majority exposed never show symptoms.

      • For symptomatic dogs, it can look like painful joints, lethargy, loss of appetite or fever that antibiotics are highly effective for. Most pets show noticeable improvement in lameness and fever within 24-48 hours of starting antibiotics
